After a few hours yesturday Murt and I had the privilege of unlocking the frogloks on our account.. If you are interested in doing it for yourself here is what you do:


* Go speak to the froggie in Castleview Hamlet that is by the fountain.
* He will offer you a quest to seek out a relative in Antonica
- You are to first search the ocean shore in the south..This is the area with the coastal crabs over by Archer Woods.
- You are to continue the search for him.. A waypoint directs you to a log, right click on it for the update.. You will then continue to search for him with waypoints that lead you to a rock and a tree.. The tree was a little difficult because you have to look up at it to beable to right click on it (tok me awhile to figure that out)
- Once you get the tree a waypoint will lead you to him. Right click on him to make him follow you and take him to the nearest guard tower (one of the middle towers by the Claymore)
- When you get pretty close to the tower he will then die and you report to the froggie in Castleview...

* After you tell him the news you must wait about a hour for him to talk to you again. I suggest finding something else to do in that time cause the waiting really stinks.. lol

* When he talks to you again he will ask you to avenge the death and seek out the assassin who killed him... You will get a summoning rock of the froggie spirit that if you right click on him will lead you to him, however he moves slower than a snail.. The spirit will then guide you to the Tower of Valen where an assassin will spawn (your froggie spirit disappears and makes him spawn) for you to kill.
- Once again you need to go back to Castleview.. Upon talking to him he gives you another quest to find the hide out of the assassins.. The hide out is found just North of the Vale of the shattering from an instanced zone from a blinking rock... You kill the assassins around the captured frog and then right click on the frog for the update...
- You go back to Castleview for the last time.. Upon talking to him he gives you a stone that you must use in an "ancient Lake".. Crater pond is suppose to be the pond you use it in but it didn't work for me so I went to the dog pond in the commonlands.. When you use the stone it will teleport you to a frog village where you must do quite a few quests to earn there trust. You can find the quests by hailing certain frogs...

Things you will need to find:

the branch - You can find the branch by going up a ramp that leads to the platform ( jump down by the trees to get the branch).. be careful when you see a space in between make sure you jump because I spent a good 15 minutes getting myself unstuck..lol (thank you Murt for getting me stuck! :P)

the dollie- the little girl's doll is randomly put. I've heard of it being behind her on the other side of the tree and in the path of the entrance. Murt found it after about 20 minutes of searching inside a tent.

the gem- the miner drops it and then picks it up.. you must pick it up before he does and then wash it off in a pail that is next to the frog that gives you the fire fly quest.

fireflies- you are given a net to put in your activated slot. you use it to catch 3 fireflies when you see the message " you sence the presence of fire flies nearby". When Murt did this he said you can faintly see the fireflies.

picking up trash- you find blinkie crates through out the zone and place it on a "platform" that looks like a pallet on the ground.. you can only hold one trash bag at a time so be sure you right click the trash bag when your by the pallat.

flowers- you pick up three flowers that are in the zone. They aren't hard to miss as they are really ugly.. lol

history- the frog tells you alittle bit about the froglok history and you have to answer the questions correctly.

riddle- the frog will tell you a riddle about 5 trolls eating more cats than the other.. when you figure the riddle out you place the staues that are inside the tent in the correct order on the little totem platforms there..

After this you go speak to the chief who will then speak to you.

CONGRATS! you are now done

After speaking with him you unlock the frogloks on your account and as a reward you get an item that you can place in your house that reduces 200 status. If you don't plan on upgrading your apartment and wish to not keep it the item sells for alittle over 3 gold to a merchant.. However the item is pretty cool looking (you can look at mine in my room in NQ, it's on the left wall under the painting.. it's the only there that sparkles)


* At level 34 I recieved about 10% xp for completing all of this,so it's pretty decent xp for a bunch of running around...

Wheh... I had a bad experience with a froggy like that once... had to brush my tongue for a week to get the taste out ;x

Thankyou Abri that was an excellent walk-thru, I will definitely print it out and use it when I go for unlocking the Froglock.
All here is still crowded with people. My daughter gets in tonight, the cousins from mo left yesterday..the folks from little rock came in yesterday. My daughter and family and I will be in Branson for a few days starting tommorrow...then she will go home monday and most of the other company will go then too.
I have missed all game nights and havent had time to get in. Miss all and things will be back to normal soon. (((kort hugs)))

Sister Fawn- My pleasure.. It took me about 4 hours to complete it as I had difficulty in a few spots. It would've been alot less time consuming if I knew where to go and what I was doing. I knew my walk through would save alot of time for others...
