I tried locating the thread on the status housing list on the EQ2 forums to give you exact numbers but couldn't find them so I'm going off of my own personal experiences (even if some where dumb decisions)...
Before we became guild level 10 I had boughten an apartment in Qeynos Harbor for 19g and some silver with the rent being almost 2g a week. At first rent was easy to pay as I was making a killing making ash boxes but as soon as the market went down it became extremely difficult.
When we became guild level 10 my rent became 96s and alittle over 6,000 personal status a week. Since then I've been trying to come up with furniture to bring the status down and have managed to bring it down to 4,000. I have 3 rares left that I can make things with and even then it won't bring it down much... Mind you if you purchase a Qeynos Harbor home it will come 9g and some odd silver with 67,000 status points (figure is rounded up).
My opinion on the Qeynos Harbor apartment is that if you have enough status to keep you going awhile go for it, but to me that's just alittle much..
I woke up this morning about sick and tired of wondering how I'm going to get my status down so that I can enjoy my home that I started searching again on other options. I refuse to go back to the starter homes (100 item limit is by far under what I have) so I decided to venture over to North Qeynos to see what it would be if I were to relocate there..
If I were to relocate to North Qeynos it would cost under 4g and 22,000 status(roughly) to move in with rent being 30s and just under 3,000 status points a week.. <this is where I could kick myself for picking Qeynos Harbor just for the bell although I really don't go there often :P >
With all of this being said I have come to the conclusion I'll be relocating to North Qeynos for a few reasons... 30s a week isn't bad for rent and it is cheaper than a gold... I am in North Qeynos more and it has a bank, and I could run into South Qeynos to get to a noobie zone bell or run thru the down below to go somewhere... I could make a set of furniture to place in the apartment and my status upkeep would be 0 or close to it...
Basically what I am trying to say thru all of this is to be wise if you're thinking about relocating. Yes, the Harbor has a bell but can you really afford the status upkeep or get it to 0 soon? North Qeynos has a bank right out your door with 2 ways of getting to where you need to go (3 if you include your feet :P)and you have me to make your furniture ( I can make anything elm, maple,or ash but am limited on briarwood)to make your status upkeep 0 or close to it.. I also have all of the advanced books up to level 31.

With all of this being said....
If I find out you made poor decions after you read this I'm going to personally bonk you senceless and then throw you to the centaurs or orcs depending on what level you are...
