First let me say to everyone that I have had the pleasure of gaming with, It was a good ride. I am not leaving the game, but I am leaving the guild. I think the principles of KoRT are good and sound principles. However, those principles are not always acted on. Primarily to me, this is a game. I realize that we all form a societal bond by gaming together and this transcends into real life friendships at times. Other times it transcends into real life bickering and a loss altogether of the concept of gaming. I have played every online game out there to some extent, even attaining the rank of Patron of my own guild, which was built soley through the fealty system in Asherons Call. For those who do not know or understand this it means simply if you are the leader, everyone under has sworn allegience to you. To this end, I maintained contact with everyone I could and even logged on at times when I usually did not just to say hi or assist a lower member. With this faction of KoRT being as small as it is I have to say I like having direct contact with the Lord Chancelor. I also want to go on record as saying that I think Murtano has done a wonderful job "in game" of being Lord Chancelor. Back to the point, after seeing the largest guild in Asheron's Call fall apart and basically destroy game play for several people, once started the bickering never stopped, I decided to no longer be a part of any guild. This concept changed for me in SWG (Star Wars Galaxies) when I met, quite by chance, a small group of individuals that convinced me the were a tight knit group of gamers and would not succumb to this fate. This group included at that time or subsequently some of the members of KoRT. Consequently my friends and I moved to EQ2 after SOE destroyed the game play in SWG.

I found many new friends here and had alot of fun playing, but I also found myself doing the really tough task alone or with other guilds. I fault no one for this and it was sufficient for me to continue this way. Recently, I had to take a hiateous from the game and do some traveling, I returned to find the core group of friends still involved, a couple of which actually twisted my arm to return sooner than I had planned. However, this time the lack of participation and the lack of recruiting any new members was stiffling to me. This is not bad just not what I would like to see in a guild in a game of this nature. I found myself teetering on the brink of major change. Then recent events prompted me to make a quick decision, My decsision was to change guilds. I also took a couple of my friends with me. The event that took place will not be mentioned here nor will I slandor anyone's name or character. You may also notice that I took with me four friends that have become part of my core group of gaming partners. Please hold no grudges for them, I am a much better arm twister they they realize. I hold no ill feelings for KoRT, nor was KoRT or any member of KoRT spoken ill of. No items were removed from the bank in coordination with this change. No favor were asked prior to this decision being made that would make anyone feel as though they have been duped, used, or otherwise taken advantage of. If anyone has concerns regarding this or to request any items they may want returned to them, please feel free to contact me and any items you think I should return, shall be returned.

It is my firm desire that any friendships garnered from this association remain intact. To that end, please feel free to remain in contact with me, group with me, or request my assistance. Please do not lambast me or my friends over this situation, and remember the code and the principles of KoRT.

Farewell to all who remain and to those that shall come to bear the KoRT colors. You have and always will be given my respect.

As friends come and go, be not they forgotten, but marked as the colors of the leaves of autumn. Those colors come and go every year, but the splendor of each return of spring replenishes the life and blood of nature, and rebirth is always a joyous event. May the heavens bless KoRT and its wayward adventurers....

We're sorry to see you go Slick but may happiness always follow you wherever you may go as that is the main thing. You have chosen a great guild to go to, as Gestalt is one of our allies. I am sure Aol and Moos will treat you well there.

Always remember that once a knight always a knight and forever that will be.
