Here I am at the Strider Inn, although I'm still too young to pick up an ale. So I guess I'll settle for some milk. Perhaps I can enjoy a frosty brew with you all next year. I have finally found my new seat in the Knights of the Round Table. Should I tell a tale for you all? I guess I must, For I have a most compelling story full of laughter and mischeif, that I must share.
High Keep is a most downtrod town. The basement run over by the ugly Pickclaw goblins. I was biding my time down there, doing my part to combat another form of evil in this world when Armists most kindly invited me to Faydewer to the Estate of Unrest. I egerly accepted knowing that I could combat the worst form of evil a Paladin of the 30th season can...the undead. Being a class of light, I feel that anything that is dead should stay dead. And thus, I met up with Lord Armistis, Lord Truemane and Lord Balant in the zone of North Karana. We ran for days on end, stopping only to combat evil on the way and help anyone in need.
One such person was Jcob, A paladin of the 35th season. He was a most gracious man. Strong with the shining bronze armor and very tall. Well, for a half elf, everything is tall to me. But then again, I wonder how a gnome or a halfling feels.
We were all sitting around the camp fire swaping stories of our great adventures. Armistis told one of the best ones about the fire breathing dragon in Skyfire. How he, Truemane, Balant and other KORT's saved Norrath in it's time of dire need. Balant especially was captivated by Armists' story telling. He was stoic and as silent as a tree...infact, he was a tree!
All of the sudden we were surrounded by visious goblins of a most fearful nature. Jcob drew his greatsword from his belt and cut a goblins' arm clean off. Armistis, Truemane,Balant and I all quickly killed the intruders and we were at peace once again. We thanked Jcob and decided that we must make Unrest as soon as possible. To thank Jcob, Armists agreed to journey with Jcob to the Castle of Mistmoore to help him retrieve a piece for his soulfire sword.
And so, with Armistis on the way to Mistmoore, True, Balant and I were off to the Estate of Unrest. Besides fighting against the forces of evil, we had another mission at hand, to find a ghoul's heart. Why such at discusting item you ask? I as a paladin, needed it to obtain my ghoulbane. A weapon that weilds mass destruction among the undead.
As we entered Unrest, I suddenly had memories of my younger days when even Lady Norielynn was very small. I was flooded with the memories of the wonderful stories Lady Norielynn used to tell and how we used to tease her about wanting to combat more evil that she could handle. She then and even now, is always egar to take on a few trains at a time.
Now I must stop my tale for one second to give a toast.
Lady Norielynn, this is for all the great times and the evil you have taken. Thank you for being there for all of us...CHEERS!
Now to move on. As I stood there remembering all the good times and the bad times. Balant put his cold wolfy nose on my leg. This, ofcourse startled me. "Stay here." Barked Balant. Now, to stay there...me...I cannot do so. As I looked at the broken down house. The stale wind blew and the house creeked and rattled. It beckoned me to go in. I had to. Being the curious Paladin, I ventured in. Thanking the lord Rodect Nife for my invisiblity against undead power, I easily found True and Balant fighting some crazed ghouls. But just as I found them, my invisibility wore off and I was faced with a skeletal monk! I ran as fast as I could. Balant and True not far behind trying to save my life. I couldn't find the way out I was so panicked. And so I was vanquished by my paladin curse. I pulled a train unto my death.
Thankfully Truemane was able to bring me back to life. And after following orders for the second time. We fought evil for several hours but to no avail. The ghoul never wanted to give up his heart. I do not know why. Why an evil being need's a heart when they are already dead is beyond me. So we have given up and now, I sit here before you a beaten and happy page.
I now raise the last of my milk to the rest of you listeners of KORT and those wanderers who happen to catch my tale. Thank you for making me a part of your family! I am and forever will be truly honored to spend time with all of you. CHEERS TO KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE AND TO ALL OF THE GOOD OF NORRATH!
Now I must retire. I am still very tired and I have to seek the most important thing in all of Norrath...Knowledge. I hope to see you all again soon. Until then, I salut you all and wish you safe travels, wonderful adventures, and new friends.
